Light-hearted stories in which non-human women take the lead became one of Marui Maru's established lines, and that line had already taken shape in the artist's first book for Kill Time Communication. Yokujo Hunting stands in the hall as its point of departure.
A cat girl and a dog boy; a descendant of Momotaro who crosses to Onigashima and meets an oni girl; a prince of the demon realm and a succubus. Each of the ten stories is set in a fantasy of its own. It is an adult collection about relationships in which the woman leads, and the official genre tags include kemono and animal transformation, shota, gender swap, reverse rape, male-receptive and futanari; one story takes sister-and-brother incest as its subject.
Readers agree on two things, range and consistency. Subject and setting change from one story to the next, yet the lead always stays with the women. The brightness of a book in which no heroine is put through anything dark is also named as what makes it easy to read.
Marui Maru's first collection appeared in January 2012, and this third book followed in December of the same year as number 103 in the Unreal Comics line. Kemopai: Sakusei Girls two years later and Ran-Drop! five years later carried the artist's work for that label forward from here.
The digital edition went on sale on DLsite in May 2013 and reached first place on the daily chart right after release. It is one of the artist's five works in the hall and ranks 155th among commercial works.
