Futanari is usually handled as one ingredient added to some other appetite. Ikusa Otome, Haiboku no Nare no Hate takes it as the subject of an entire book and never lets go.
A treasure hunter entering a ruin; three transforming heroines divided by colour; a shrine maiden sealed underground; a fighter clad in machinery. Across nine pieces the fighting heroines all lose, are given a male organ afterwards by drug or by spell, and are carried off by a sensation they have no experience of. Men barely appear at all.
Notes at the back of the book take each piece in turn and say, in the artist's own words, where each heroine's design came from.
It is Shi-aru's first collection, catalogued at the National Diet Library as the 350th volume of the 2D Dream Comics line. The Ikusa Otome title carried on into two further books, in 2016 and in 2018. In 2016 the artist also drew for the anthology Nijigen Comic Magazine: Shokushu Yoroi ni Zenshin wo Okasare Mugen Zecchou Vol.1.
