A slime that can take any shape moves into the room of a man going nowhere at a convenience store job. It is devoted to him, and it becomes whichever woman he has looked at twice. In time he learns what the shapeshifting costs: the woman herself is absorbed to make it possible. Knowing that, he does not stop.
What readers name, over and over, is the speed at which the man's ethics dissolve. Each absorbed woman returns to her life with her memories and her manner intact, so nobody is ever missing. Because no incident occurs, no reason to turn back occurs either. The slime, for its part, is guileless, and jealous. Dread and sweetness sit on the same page, and still the book does not leave a reader in the dark.
Gathering nine chapters that ran irregularly in Comic Unreal, this is a fourth collection. One of the two shorter pieces bound in with it returns to the world of the previous volume, Residence: Yuganda Negai de Shoujo ni Kawaru. A sequel volume followed in 2025.
